When you place bookings via our website, make enquiries about the services that we provide or join our mailing list we ask for certain information including your name, address, credit and debit card details (where appropriate), email address, telephone number and other information relating to your travel needs. Computerised Reservation System

In order to secure your travel arrangements we process your personal information using a computerised reservation system operated by Sabre Inc. Sabre Inc is based at 4255 Amon Carter Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas 76155, United States of America. Your information is stored by Sabre for two years after your journey has been completed. We may also hold a copy of your information for a longer period. If you wish us to supply you with a copy of information held about you in Sabre Inc's database please write to The Data Protection Officer at The Flight Shop, 8 The Weir, Hessle, HU13 0RU.

Third Party Websites

This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected by us. It does not apply to information you supply to third parties even where you have accessed such third parties' websites through a link from this website. We do not have any control over and shall not be held liable for the content of, or handling of personal information collected by, such websites.

SECURITY POLICY

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, we follow security procedures in the storage and disclosure of your information. We may therefore request proof of your identity before disclosing certain information to you.

Whenever you give us your personal information, including your credit or debit card details, we use a secure server and, where your browser supports it, 128-bit secure socket layer (SSL) technology to encrypt such information.

Our on-line transactions are processed under a secure connection by our payment processor. When you receive your credit or debit card statement, all transactions processed through this website will be listed as Corporate Travel International.

Contracts

We want to offer you the best products and the best service. We aim to consistently exceed your expectations, so that when you are booking with us, you feel you're booking with the best agent on the web.

We are primarily an agent for various suppliers who we believe offer an excellent service to our customers. When booking on-line you are able to access the 'terms and conditions' applicable to each of these suppliers
on their respective websites.

If you make an enquiry directly through ourselves by e-mail, fax or phone we will endeavour to offer you the best possible service in matching a product to your requirements with a supplier who will provide their terms and conditions in the administrative process of facilitating a booking. Our suppliers are bonded through ABTA., IATA and the CAA as we are ourselves, ensuring financial security.

Since we do not supply any products ourselves as principals, contracts exist between yourself the consumer and the suppliers we deal with. Delivery

The suppliers you can access on our web site have various means of delivering their products.

In some cases, for instance, when booking airport car parking and hotels you will receive an immediate booking confirmation and voucher at the end of the reservation procedure.

When you make a booking for travel insurance the certificate will be forwarded in the post the day after the reservation is taken. If you need an immediate copy, we can fax it to you.

Scheduled flight tickets are dispatched by post as soon as they have been paid for in full whereas charter flight tickets are normally dispatched approximately ten days before departure.

If you have any special requirements as to how or when your documentation is delivered please contact us by e-mail (sales@theflightshop.co.uk) by phone 08703 303030 or by fax 01482 646 072. We do use a courier service or Royal Mail Special Delivery where necessary. For clients in the local area we can arrange for hand
delivery.

Feedback and Complaints

Any feedback you have about this site should be sent by email to sales@theflightshop.co.uk, please enter "feedback" in the subject line. Alternatively, you may send your feedback in writing to the address at the bottom of this page.

If you have a complaint with the service, you have experienced either on our website or from a staff member of The Flight Shop please contact us immediately. Correspondence should be addressed to our Customer Services Department at The Travel Company, 8 The Weir , HESSLE, (Near Hull), HU13 0RU.

If you have a problem or complaint during your travel programme it is a legal requirement that you bring it to the attention of the relevant supplier (e.g. your hotelier or airline) as soon as possible. If you are unable to resolve the problem locally you must obtain written confirmation from the supplier of your complaint and follow this up by writing to us within 28 days of your return. Correspondence should be addressed to our Customer Services Department at The Travel Company, 8 The Weir , HESSLE, (Near Hull), HU13 0RU . Please give your booking reference and all other relevant details. If you fail to follow this procedure, we cannot accept liability for any claim.

Complaint Handling

In the unlikely event that you have cause for complaint you have recourse to the Codes of Conduct which we must adhere to as members of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) for which our membership number is K1187. Under these codes of conduct we are obliged to maintain the following standard of service :-

(i) Members shall maintain a high standard of service to clients and shall comply will all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
(ii) Members shall not conduct their business in a manner which does not maintain or enhance the reputation, standing or good name of the Association and its membership.
(iii) Members shall make every effort to ensure that accurate information is provided to enable clients to exercise an informed judgement in making their choice of travel arrangements.
(iv) Members shall make every effort to ensure that the travel arrangements sold to their clients are compatible with their clients' individual requirements.

With regards Transactions and Correspondence :-

(i) Transactions with clients shall be treated as confidential.
(ii) In the event of a dispute between a member and a client or member of the public, all correspondence shall be dealt with within the following time limits :-
  (a) An acknowledgement shall be sent not later than 14 days from the date of receipt of correspondence : and
  (b) a detailed reply, or a reply containing a detailed explanation for any delay, shall be sent not later than 28 days from the date of receipt of correspondence.

If a matter which comes within the scope of this clause is dealt with other than in writing, the member shall nevertheless produce evidence in writing or other appropriate form that the matter has been dealt with in
accordance with the time limits stated above.

Disputes

(i) a) In the event of a dispute with a client, members shall make every reasonable effort to reach a speedy solution.
  b) Where a transaction has taken place on-line members shall accept on-line complaints from clients and deal with them within an appropriate period of time which shall be no longer than those dealt with off-line.
(ii)   Retailers shall make every reasonable effort to deal with complaints of a minor and general character with a view to avoiding recourse to principals (suppliers). When complaints are of such a nature that reference to the principal (supplier) is necessary, a retailer shall use his best endeavours acting as an intermediary to bring about a satisfactory solution.
(iii)   Any dispute arising out of an alleged breach of contract or negligence by a member may be referred to arbitration arranged with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. It shall be subject to such time, financial and other restrictions as from time to time shall apply.
(iv)   Where a client wishes to refer an unresolved dispute to arbitration, the Association will forward the client's application from to the member who shall ensure that it is completed and returned to the Association, together with the arbitration fee within 21 days of receipt.
(v)   The member shall comply with the terms of the arbitration scheme referred to above and in particular with all the relevant rules and regulations of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for the time being in force.


Notwithstanding the above codes of conduct, if you do wish to make a complaint, please e-mail us direct on sales@theflightshop.co.uk to which you will receive an acknowledgement within five working days. We will
constantly monitor any complaints to improve our customer service.
